The Hockley range of plant growth regulators can be supplied either as technical active ingredients or in various formulations. In addition, combination products containing two or more active ingredients can be manufactured to specific requirements.

6-Benzyl Adenine

(or 6-Benzyl Amino Purine)

To stimulate growth and increase yield in apples, grapes, melons, oranges, pistachios and roses.

4-Chlorphenoxy Acetic Acid (4-CPA)

To aid fruit-setting in tomatoes.

It can be supplied either as technical material or as a soluble liquid.

Daminozide

To increase colouration on fruit such as apples, apricots and peaches

To reduce height on ornamentals such as azaleas and chrysanthemums, hydrangeas, poinsettias and many bedding plants.

It can be supplied again either as a technical active ingredient or as a soluble powder.

Ethephon

To accelerate the ripening process of fruits and vegetables, both pre-harvest and post-harvest, and can be used on apples, blackberries, barley, cherries, coffee, cotton, cucumbers, grapes, melons, nuts, peppers, pineapples, squash, sugarcane, tobacco, tomatoes, wheat, and on ornamentals.

It can be supplied as technical active ingredient, or as a soluble liquid.

Gibberellic Acid (GA3)

Is a popular plant growth regulator, due to its ability to achieve desired results using low concentrations of product. Generally, Gibberellic Acid only affects the plant parts above the soil surface, and has a variety of applications.

To increase fruit setting in oranges, clementines, tangerines and pears.

To advance flowering.

To increase yield in strawberries.
To control fruit maturity by delaying the development of yellow colouration in grapefruit and lemons.

To reduce rind staining and to delay rind-ageing in oranges.

To loosen and elongate clusters, increase berry size and improve fruit-setting when applied onto grapes.

To delay fruit russeting, when applied onto apples.

To produce uniform seedling growth on rice.

To increase yield (by promoting elongation) on celery and rhubarb.

To break dormancy and stimulate sprouting on seed potatoes.

Gibberellic acid can be supplied either as technical active ingredient, as a water soluble liquid, or more commonly as water soluble tablets (containing 1 gram of active ingredient per 10 gram tablet).

Gibberellins GA4+GA7

is a mixture of Gibberellin A4 plus Gibberellin A7.

To reduce russeting in apples and pears; this product is used mainly on fruit.

It can be supplied either as a technical active ingredient; or in formulation, either alone, or in combination with 6-Benzyl Adenine as a soluble liquid.

Indole-3-Acetic Acid (IAA)

is a plant growth regulator which affects cell division and cell elongation.

To stimulate the rooting of cuttings of herbaceous and woody ornamentals.

It can be supplied either as technical active ingredient or in formulation, as a dust powder or tablet.

Indole-3-Butyric Acid (IBA)

also affects cell division and cell elongation.

To stimulate the rooting of cuttings of herbaceous and woody ornamentals.

It can be supplied either as technical active ingredient or in formulation, as a dust powder or tablet.

Mepiquat Chloride

To reduce vegetative growth on cotton.

To advance the maturation of cotton bolls.

To inhibit sprouting in onions, garlic and leeks.

To prevent lodging (by shortening the stem and strengthening the stem wall) in cereals, flax and grass seed crops, when used in combination with Ethephon.

It can be supplied as a technical active ingredient or as an aqueous liquid.

1-Naphthyl Acetamide (NAD)

Works by inducing the formation of an abscission zone in the plant peduncle.

To act as a thinning agent on apples and pears.

To prevent premature fruit fall in apples and cherries.

To stimulate root formation in cuttings and transplants.

It can be supplied as technical active ingredient or as a wettable powder.

1-Naphthyl Acetic Acid (NAA)

works by promoting elongation & formation of roots, and at higher concentrations by acting as a growth inhibitor.

To stimulate root formation in cuttings and transplants of woody and herbaceous plants.

To prevent premature flowering and fruit drop in apples, pears, grapes, mangoes, melons, citrus fruit, aubergines, cucumbers, cotton and soya beans.
To induce early and uniform flowering in pineapples.

To improve fruit-setting in a variety of fruit.

To act as a fruit-thinning agent in apples, pears, citrus, olives and other fruit, when used at higher concentrations.

It can be supplied as technical active ingredient, or in formulation as a wettable and soluble powder, aqueous liquid and soluble liquid.

2-Naphthoxy Acetic Acid (BNOA)

To be used as a fruit-setting spray and can be applied onto tomatoes, strawberries, blackberries, peppers, aubergines, grapes and pineapples.

It can be supplied as a technical active ingredient or in formulation as a soluble liquid.

Paclobutrazol

works by inhibiting the rate of cell division in the sub-apical meristems of plants. As a result, it produces more compact plants and enhances flowering and fruiting. It can be applied as a foliar spray, soil drench, or by trunk injection.

To inhibit vegetative growth and improve fruit set on fruit trees (apples, pears, cherries and plums).

To inhibit growth on pot-grown ornamentals and flowers such as chrysanthemums, begonias, freesias, poinsettias and bulbs.

To increase tillering, reduce lodging and increase yield on rice.

To retard growth on turf.

To reduce height and prevent lodging on grass seed crops.

It can be supplied as technical active ingredient or in formulation as a suspension concentrate or wettable powder.
