Hockley International offers a range of specialised agricultural herbicides which can be useds for the control of weeds in both crop and in non-crop land situations.
Hockley’s range of agricultural herbicide products both alone and in mixture, provides effective control of weeds in both temperate and tropical climates. If these weeds are not effectively controlled, they can severely affect crop yield and quality.

non-selective herbicides
The Hockley range includes Glyphosate and Paraquat which are both non-selective herbicides used to control a wide range of weeds in both pre-crop planting and non-crop land situations.
selective systemic herbicides
Atrazine is a selective systemic herbicide principally absorbed through the roots of target weeds. It can be used pre and post-emergence to control broad-leaved weeds and annual grasses in many crops and in non-crop situations, phytotoxic to certain crops.
Diclofop-methyl is a selective systemic herbicide principally absorbed through the leaves of target weeds. It is used post-emergence to control grass weeds in many crops.
Phenoxy herbicides and products based on 2, 4-D can also be offered.
2, 4-D is a selective systemic herbicide used post-weed emergence to control annual and perennial broad-leaved weeds in a variety of crops.
Propanil is a selective contact herbicide with a short duration of activity used to control certain broad-leaved weeds and grasses in rice, and is also available in mixture with 2, 4 D.
Trifluralin is a selective soil herbicide used for pre-emergence control of many grasses and broad-leaved weeds in a variety of crops.
The substituted ureas Diuron and Isoproturon give control of grasses, mosses, and broad-leaved weeds in many crops; including fruit vines, forage legumes, cereals, alfalfa and sugar cane.
Butachlor is a selective systemic herbicide, used pre-emergence for the control of annual grasses and broad-leaved weeds in rice, barley, cotton, sugar beet, wheat and brassica crops.
Metolachlor is a pre-emergence and early post-emergence selective herbicide used to control annual grasses and some broad-leaved weeds in a variety of crops. It is also provided in mixture with Atrazine.
Dicamba is offered for the control of annual and perennial broad-leaved weeds and brush species in a wide range of crops and on pastureland.
Other herbicides in the Hockley range include Asulam, Chlorpropham and Metamitron.
Metamitronis an important herbicide product for use against grasses and broad-leaved weeds in sugar and fodder beet crops.
Pendimethalin - a selective herbicide, applied at pre-planting, pre-emergence, pre-transplant and at early post-emergence; used to control most annual grasses and broad-leaved weeds in cereals, cotton, fruit, tobacco, vegetables, and on established turf.

Products can be manufactured and offered as various different formulation types such as emulsifiable concentrates (EC), suspension concentrates (SC), ultra low volume (ULV), micro-emulsion (ME), suspo-emulsions (SE), oil/water emulsions (EW), wettable powders (WP), water-dispersible granules (WG), dust powders (DP), soluble granules (SG), and granules (GR).
In addition, combination products containing two or more active ingredients can be manufactured to specific requirements.
